Back at it Again

Hi My friends

Life has been a challenge lately, and it has been a challenge that I admit I have not felt up to facing. I am chalking it up to added stress at work as well as the summer heat here in Phoenix. But, while neither has gone away, I have decided enough is enough. Plus the Rock n Roll Half Marathon is coming up and training needs to start in the next couple of weeks.

So, it’s time to take Taylor Swift’s lyrics to heart and start to “Shake it Off”. This is the last week of my summer long pity party. If I am going to attempt to break 2:30 this January I have to get serious and stay focused. I also need to keep the boys motivated as well. Lil’ WO is not running cross country this year at school, so that means we are going to be switching to morning runs for our workouts. This is not going to be an easy change for me, which is why we start next week with 1-2 miles before we head off to work and school. Hopefully, by  the time real training rolls around on September 27th, we will be used to it.

I am also planning to re-working the blog  – so stay tuned for BIG changes. There may also be a runDisney Addict podcast in the future if you think listening to me share training stories, race recaps, and more might be fun!
