The Wine and Dine Half Marathon weekend is changing and expanding! Not only will you be able to run that amazing 13.1 mile course, and attend an after party in Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival, but now there is also a 10K race to run, as well as a Challenge!
The Wine and Dine Half Marathon, which has been a night race in the past, will now be run on Sunday morning! For those of you who ran for the after party festivities, don’t worry! There is still a post-race party planned for Sunday evening!
The other regular race for the weekend; Mickey’s 5K is still happening on Friday morning. This fun, holiday themed 5K gives you the chance to run through Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
Joining the line-up is a 10K on Saturday morning! A 6.2 mile run through Epcot, complete with characters and the great Disney Entertainment along the route.
And finally – they are introducing a Challenge for the weekend! Named Lumiere’s Two Course Challenge; you can register for this and complete the 10K Saturday morning and the Half Marathon Sunday morning and receive a 3rd medal.
Registration for all the 3 races, as well as the challenge opens to the general public on March 29th at noon ET. If you are a Disney Annual Passholder or Disney Vacation Club member, a limited number of early registrations spots open March 22nd at noon ET.
Be prepared, the Wine and Dine always sold out fast; and I am expecting to see it sell out even faster with the introduction of the 10K and Challenge!
Once you have secured your registration – don’t forget that I will be happy to help you take care of all your vacation bookings, so you can sit back and recover from the nerve wracking registration process!
