Last night, by the time I got home, all I wanted was a glass of wine and a nap. But after my last weigh in, I knew that those things could not be an option if I want to hit my goals by the TinkerBell Half Marathon in May. I really had to force myself to change and turn on the XBox to get a workout done.
So, 20 minutes of pilates and 10 minutes of upper body weight training later, I ate some dinner and gave myself permission to curl up on the couch. Face it we all need those evenings! At least I got the workout in (even though it ended up being 10 minutes shorter than I had planned)
But this morning… I felt so good! I felt strong and rested. Which is a nice change. So every time I feel like skipping a workout, I need to reach back and remember how I felt this morning.
