Well runners – today was an exciting day. RunDisney updated the site so runners could view the course maps, print our waivers, and (if you are running the TinkerBell Half Marathon or the Pixie Dust Challenge) find out your corral placement. The facebook groups I am members of are going crazy, as we all find out the corrals we are in and trying to see who we can hang out with while we are waiting to run!
I am excited to have moved up to corral D. My first race I was in the last corral, and for Avenger’s – even though I moved up – I ended up running from the last corral again to start with WO. This time I am truly a “Middle of the Pack” runner! It is *slightly* frustrating to know that if I would have finished 3 minutes faster I could have been up in corral C (darned potty break) But I’ll take D! The corrals are much smaller than they were for Avengers! I hope this gives a me a better start, and if I plan pictures correctly (and bathroom breaks) I am hoping for another corral bump for Wine and Dine in November.
I am also excited to see that the course for the Half Marathon hasn’t changed. I was a big fan of this course; quite a few miles in the parks. And this time I’ll be expecting the “Fake Out’ of running down Harbor Boulevard, only to have to turn just as you think you are coming up to the parks and the coveted last mile. My last couple of long runs I will definitely be playing the course out in my head, trying to figure out how to conserve the energy the I need to push through those miles outside of the park.
Knowing that the corrals are posted, and being able to go through the race program (at least online) makes the race so much closer, in my mind, even though my countdown app is definitely showing me we are coming down to the wire. It feels more real.

Lauren, That’s a good question, thnkas for asking! The cattle are given two vaccines after they are born for common illnesses in cattle, like upper respiratory infections. Since Meyer Natural Angus cattle do not receive any antibiotics or growth hormones in their lifetime, we give these vaccines to help keep them healthy. I hope this helps answer your questions. If we can be of further assistance, please contact our Consumer Affairs department at 1-(888)-586-2208 Thank you!
